Significant Professional or Academic Accomplishments: Clarkson University student Xulan Deng '18 is a biomolecular science and chemistry double major from New York City. Xulan has been named a Goldwater Scholar, the Goldwater Scholarship is the most prestigious award in the United States given to undergraduates studying in mathematics, science and engineering. It is given to sophomores and juniors who demonstrate “outstanding potential.” Xulan is a CSTEP, McNair and ASPIRE student. Xulan has conduct research at the Trudeau Institute Saranac Lake NY, during the summer of 2015 and Regeneron Biotechnology Company the summer of 2016. Currently she is doing research at North Umbria University.
